Jennifer Jensen is the award-winning author of two children’s books for middle-grade readers, Through the Shimmer of Time and its sequel, RESCUE Through the Shimmer of Time, as well as numerous articles and short stories for children and adults. She’s a longtime member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), a former member of the Society of Professional Journalists,  and has received two Indiana Arts Commission grants for her children’s fiction.

 

Ms. Jensen has taught creative writing workshops for children and teens held at elementary, middle and high schools, as well as children’s bookstores. She has been a Girl Scout leader, a church youth leader, and a piano teacher.  She is a graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature and holds a B.A. in English/Creative Writing from Indiana University.
